Beginning as an elementary
school in 1990, RMS has earned an international reputation
for providing innovative and effective gifted education that
recognizes the complexity of the gifted child. Asynchronous
development, visual spatial learning, intensity, the need for
complexity and fast pacing are common characteristics of gifted
students which our faculty is trained to recognize and accommodate.
With the use of ability grouping and an individual learning
plan implemented by experienced gifted teachers in small classes,
our independent school stands out as a unique choice for
students identified as gifted through IQ testing, learning
style evaluations and self concept assessments.
Rocky Mountain
School supports the social and emotional development of gifted
