“My recent visit to the Rocky
Mountain School for the Gifted to discuss my books with
the students was everything I could hope for. Students
were excited, enthusiastic, passionate, focused, curious,
articulate, questioning, and well prepared – all
those things I know gifted kids to be, but so seldom
see them being in school. Much of the joy of that
visit came from the kids, of course, much of it came
from the work of the teachers, and all of it had to do
with the atmosphere of the school community. It’s
a school with a mission that is clearly working.”

The faculty of Rocky Mountain School is selected for their
teaching experience with gifted children, their understanding
of the complexity of gifted children, their flexibility
and their humor – key ingredients for child and certainly
for those with advanced skills and development.
Although each student has one master teacher who has overall
responsibility for designing and implementing their Individual
Learning Plan (ILP), in truth, every student benefits from
the skills and insight of each teacher. This is a team
of teachers who work toward the fulfillment of each student
in the School.
The staff is the most important and valuable asset a school
has to offer a student. You can learn more about each of
them here and about their specific classroom when you enter
the classroom section of our web site.
