Kim Kollar | Class Description

Kim BioMaster Teacher, holds a BS in Elementary Education from Illinois State University. This is her twenty-fifth year in education. She holds a Colorado certification with experience at the K-6 grade levels in both the public and private sector. She has co-authored curriculum and instruction materials for young learners. Kim presented a workshop entitled "K-2 Education in a Gifted School!" at the National Association for Gifted Children conference in Albuquerque in November 1999. This is her eleventh year at RMS. Kim's husband is also an elementary school teacher. They have two children in college.

Kim describes her approach to teaching. “As an educator my primary objective is to create a safe and balanced learning environment. I try to provide an integrated and challenging curriculum with appreciation and respect for individual learning styles and needs. My goal is for each individual to be involved in active learning and provide opportunities to apply knowledge to real life situations. Each student should feel safe to celebrate his/her strengths and work to improve in areas of weakness. I aim to provide a supportive environment to encourage individuality and foster life-long learning.”
