Admissions Coordinator, moved
to Colorado in July, 2003 having spent much of her life
in New England. After growing up in Rhode Island and
graduating from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT,
she went to work at BB&N, an independent school in
Cambridge, MA in the Alumni Relations Department. Discovering
that she wanted more student and family contact, she returned
to school where she was awarded a Masters in Education
at Harvard University School of Education. Lisa spent
the next five years in the admission office at Beaver Country
Day School, an independent school in Boston. Her interest
in issues around diversity brought her next to an organization
called The Steppingstone Foundation, which helps prepare
Boston school-age children for educational opportunities
at independent and exam schools. There, she worked with
over 22 local independent and exam schools, communicating with
schools and families about the admission and financial
aid processes. She also taught social studies, physical
education, and English, as well as served as a student
advisor. Coming to Colorado for a change of pace and
lifestyle, Lisa enjoys all the benefits of the outdoors,
from hiking and camping to running, biking, skateboarding,
and snowboarding. She spends time with her family
in Longmont, Colorado. Lisa joined the RMS staff in 2003.
