Director of Curriculum and
Instruction, has been with Rocky Mountain School since
1990. A native of Mandan, N.D., she received a BS in Elementary
Education from Dickinson State University and a Gifted
Education Certification from Minot State University. She
served as the Gifted Education Coordinator for Dickinson
Public Schools from 1989 – 1991. During the last
30+ years, Nicci has taught students in grades K – 8. She
holds a Colorado Elementary Certification and was awarded
a Masters Degree in Gifted Education from the University
of Northern Colorado in 1995. In 1998 she was inducted
into the Colorado Academy of Educators for the Gifted,
Talented and Creative. She has presented at the National
Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) annual conventions,
the Hollingworth Conference for the Highly Gifted in Boston
and the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented annual
conference. She and her husband, Terry, enjoy fly-fishing,
camping, golf and bowling. They have two children, Anne
and Nate, and two grandchildren, Jacob and Rosalyn, who
are doted on by their grandparents! In her “spare
time” Nicci sings with the Colorado Spirit! Chorus
-- a chapter of Sweet Adeline’s International.
