Community Outreach
Participants in Community Outreach perform acts of service for the community in the name of a local church. The church can use these programs both to build new relationships in their community and strengthen existing ones.
TASC (Teens Actively Serving Christ)
TASC is a one-week Christian service trip specially designed for high school students and college freshmen, approximately 14-19 years old. The primary goal of TASC is to instill a heart for Christian service among young people. TASC achieves this by training and equipping them to participate in community outreach efforts alongside the host congregation. During the trip, TASCers have the opportunity to identify and use their God-given gifts and talents to serve the Lord and love others.
VBS (Vacation Bible School)
The VBS Outreach Program is designed to support small churches and church plants that may lack the resources or manpower to host a VBS event independently. RMS recruits a larger church to plan a VBS event, including everything involved with it. The team then collaborates with the members of the host church to organize a VBS event in their community, with the aim of evangelism and ministry outreach.
Community Action
Window washing, construction of handicap ramps, painting, landscaping, and yard cleanup are all excellent ways for community outreach. When we offer to assist with these basic tasks, it often provides us with the opportunity to share the gospel with the people we are serving. These efforts can help initiate relationships with the individuals in the community. RMS helps recruit volunteers and assists in the planning of these community action events.
